CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson women’s basketball team held a 40-minute scrimmage on Wednesday night at Littlejohn Coliseum. Seven players scored in double figures, led by freshman Kirstyn Wright with 16. Rookie Whitney Hood and transfer April Parker tied for high rebounding honors as each totaled nine.
Wright was 5-for-16 from the field with a pair of three-point field goals and also converted 4-of-5 free throws. Sthefany Thomas posted 15 points with eight rebounds and three steals, while senior Adrianne Bradshaw also turned in a 15-point performance on 7-for-11 shooting.
Along with her nine rebounds, Hood recorded 13 points. Guards Bryelle Smith and Christy Brown had 12 points apiece, and Brown led all players with five assists. Lele Hardy also scored in double figures with 11 and also handed out four assists.
The team played a 20-minute half intra-squad and then played the final 20-minute period against a practice squad, which included assistant coaches Todd Steelman and Saudia Roundtree.
The Lady Tigers will play host to DT3 in an exhibition contest on Friday, Nov. 2. The teams are scheduled to begin play at 7:00 pm at Littlejohn Coliseum.
