CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson women’s basketball team held a full 40-minute Orange & White scrimmage on Monday afternoon at Littlejohn Coliseum. Seven players scored in double figures, led by junior D’Lesha Lloyd with 22.
Lloyd was 10-19 from the field and also converted 2-3 free throws. Senior Carrie Whitehurst drained four of six three-point field goal attempts and totaled 20 points on the afternoon. Freshman Lele Hardy scored 19 points on 7-15 shooting, while also recordin seven steals and two blocks in the scrimmage.
Moreemi Davis posted the team’s only double-double, totaling 16 points with 10 rebounds. Lloyd, Whitehurst and transfer April Parker each pulled down eight boards as well.
Tasha Taylor, Adrianne Bradshaw each reached double figures in the scoring column as well.
Clemson will hold an exhibition game against Anderson University on Nov. 7 at 7:00 pm at Littlejohn Coliseum. The Lady Tigers will then open the 2006-07 season at home against Arkansas on Nov. 10.
