Women’s Basketball Drops Exhibition Game To Dynamo-Moscow, 93-53

CLEMSON, S.C. – Sonya Tate finished the game with 18 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in leading Dynamo-Moscow of Russia to a 93-53 win over Clemson in a women’s exhibition basketball game at Clemson, SC Thursday night.

Yelena Minaeva finished the game with 16 points and 14 rebounds for the visitors. Clemson had two players in double digits in scoring in the game. Krystal Scott finished the game with 10 points, six assists and five rebounds. The Lady Tigers Marci Glenney had 10 points and two rebounds.

Dynamo-Moscow finished the game shooting 37-75 from the floor for a .493 pct. They also shot 24-43 from the field in the second half for a .558 mark. Clemson shot 21-68 from the field for a .309 pct.

The Lady Tigers will play a club team from Austria Tuesday, November 13, at 7:00 p.m. in Littlejohn Coliseum in Clemson’s next action. The Lady Tigers will open the 2001-02 season when Clemson entertains East Carolina on Friday, November 16, at 7:00 p.m.
