CLEMSON, SC — Laurens, SC native Chrissy Floyd has signed a national letter-of-intent with the Clemson women’s basketball program as announced by Clemson Head Women’s Basketball Coach Jim Davis Tuesday.
Floyd a 5-9 guard averaged 16.6 ppg., and 7.5 rpg. her senior season. She was a participant in the South Carolina-North Carolina All-Star game.
Clemson signed her teammate Yoneko Allen, and Wren High School standout Heather Crowe last November. All three players Allen, Floyd and Crowe played in the South Carolina-North Carolina High School All-Star game.
All-Three players have been named All-State, Allen and Floyd in 4A and Crowe in 3A by the South Carolina Basketball Coaches Association. Floyd was named 4A Player-of-the-Year by the same organization.
Floyd was named the High School Sports Report’s Miss Basketball and both Allen and Floyd were named to its All-State team. Crowe was also named the 3A Player-of-the-Year by the High School Sports Report.
Mazic also signed with the Lady Tigers in November and enrolled at Clemson in January.
