CLEMSON, S.C. — Clemson guard Will Solomon finished second in the nation in scoring among sophomores according to national statistics released by the NCAA on Friday. Solomon, a native of East Hartford, CT, ranked 16th in the country overall with a 20.9 average.

Solomon’s average was second nationally among sophomores behind Notre Dame All-American Troy Murphy, who had a 22.7 average this past season. Clemson’s first first-team All-ACC selection since the 1989-90 season also ranked 17th in the nation in three-point goals per game with a 3.1 figure. He was second among sophomores nationally in this category also, trailing only Adam Kellars of Campbell, who had an average of 3.4 per game.
