Wake Forest Defeats Clemson 4-2 in ACC Men’s Tennis Tournament

CARY, NC–Fourth seeded Wake Forest defeated fifth-seeded Clemson 4-2 in the quarterfinal round at the 49th annual Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Tennis Tournament at Cary, NC Friday.

Clemson is now 30-9 on the year. The Tigers are ranked 22nd nationally according to the latest ITA poll, while the Demon Deacons are ranked 14th nationally.

The Tigers’ Ryan Young and Carlos Alvarez were the singles winners for the Tigers in the match. Alvarez has a 36-9 record this season in singles action.
