Volleyball to Hold Orange and White Scrimmage Friday

CLEMSON, SC – Fans will get their first chance to see the 2012 Clemson Volleyball team as they hold their annual intrasquad scrimmage. The match will get underway at 5:00 pm in Jervey Gymnasium, and is free to the public, as all home regular season matches will be this season. Head Coach Jolene Hoover stars her 20th season at the helm for the Tigers, who open the regular season on Aug. 24 with Coastal Carolina in the Big Orange Bash. The Tigers return three All-ACC selections from a season ago in Sandra Adeleye, Alexa Rand, and Serenat Yaz, all of whom will be seniors this season. Clemson also returns starters Mo Simmons, Hannah Brenner, and Kristin Faust, as well as senior libero, Natalie Patzin. Last season, Clemson went 20-11 overall and 12-8 in the ACC, narrowly missing an NCAA Tournament bid.
