Clemson volleyball takes to the road again this weekend, as the Tigers will play at North Carolina on Friday and at N.C. State in Raleigh on Saturday. Both matches are scheduled for 7:00 PM starts.

The Tigers come into the weekend winners in five of their last six matches, including a 3-0 sweep over Wofford on Tuesday. Clemson is 13-8 overall, 4-4 in conference play.

Middle hitter Lori Ashton continues to heat up for the Tigers. She now leads the team with a .348 hitting percentage. She also is second on the squad with 295 kills and first with 90 blocks this season. Fellow senior Leslie Finn has 399 kills, a 5.32 per game average.

North Carolina has an 11-10 overall record entering the weekend, 6-3 in the ACC. The Tar Heels defeated Clemson in a five-game thriller at Jervey Gym earlier this season. The Tar Heel attack is led by Molly Pyles, who has a team-high 4.13 kills per game average. Setter McKenzie Byrd is sixth in the ACC with a 12.04 assists per game average.

N.C. State fell to Liberty 3-1 in its most recent action, moving the Wolfpack to 10-12 overall. N.C. State is 0-8 in the ACC this season. However, the Wolfpack have one of the best net defenses this season in the conference. N.C. State easily leads the conference with 254.0 team blocks, including 131 total by Stefani Eddins. Adeola Kosoko hits a team-best .317 for the Wolfpack.

Following this weekend’s matches, the Tigers play six straight at home beginning next Tuesday against Georgia Southern.
