Volleyball Sits Atop District 3 Poll

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson volleyball team, ranked 13th nationally, leads District 3 in the first district poll of the season. Clemson (15-0, 4-0 ACC) defeated N.C. State Tuesday night to push its winning streak to 15 matches, tying the Clemson record set at the beginning of the 1992 season.

“We have the opportunity to host two very strong ACC teams in our gym this weekend with Florida State and North Carolina,” said Clemson head coach Jolene Jordan Hoover, now in her seventh season with the Tigers. “This weekend is an important weekend for us. We need to continue to play strong.”

The Tigers will play host to Florida State Friday at 7 p.m. in Jervey Gym. On Saturday Clemson will face North Carolina at 5 p.m. in a battle between the top two teams in the district. The match was originally scheduled for 6 p.m.
