CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson volleyball team (9-8, 0-4 ACC) is set to travel to Georgia Tech (11-6, 0-4 ACC) for a Wednesday night tilt, which is scheduled for 7 p.m., in O’Keefe Gymnasium. Both teams are seeking their first conference win of the season. Wednesday’s matchup is scheduled to air regionally on RSN, and stream on Fox Sports Go as well as ACC Network Extra. Both online platforms are subject to blackout.

Clemson went 0-2 in Jervey Gym last weekend against Notre Dame and Louisville. In the Tigers’ ACC home opener – a 3-0 decision – against the Fighting Irish Friday, the Jervey crowd set the No. 4 attendance program record (1,993). Freshman Ashtynne Alberts totaled 12 kills, her season best in a three-set match, while hitting .357 on the night. Additionally, freshman setter Gabby Easton, who leads the ACC in assists (11.11/set), recorded her fifth double-double of the season, registering 32 assists and 10 digs against Notre Dame. The Tigers nearly toppled Louisville, which checked in at No. 25 in the AVCA coaches poll this week, before falling in five sets last Sunday. Alberts (14), Brooke Bailey, (12), Ava Pritchard (11) and Alyssa Deloney (10) all posted double-digit kills against the Cardinals.

Georgia Tech will look to snap its four-match losing streak Wednesday. The Yellow Jackets also fell at home to both Louisville, 3-0, and Notre Dame, 3-2, last weekend. Georgia Tech junior middle blocker Kodie Comby enters Wednesday’s match ranked fifth in the ACC in hitting percentage (.400). Additionally, freshman outside hitter Mariana Brambilla ranks sixth in kills (3.66/set) in the conference.
The NCAA’s first RPI report was published Monday. Clemson checked in at No. 79, a substantial increase after concluding the 2017 season at No. 258.
