Volleyball Ranked No. 13 In AVCA Poll

Nov. 9, 1999

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson volleyball team is ranked 13th nationally according to the AVCA Division I Coaches Poll released this week, moving up one position from last week’s 14th-place rating. The Tigers received 759 points in the poll. Last week Clemson defeated Georgia Tech at home, plus Florida State and Florida A&M on the road.

“This is a really important week with Georgia on the road and Duke and Wake Forest at home,” said Clemson head coach Jolene Jordan Hoover, now in her seventh season with the Tigers. “We have the opportunity to have our last two conference opponents at home.”

Clemson (26-1, 131-1 ACC) will play at Georgia Tuesday at 7 p.m. This weekend the Tigers will play host to Wake Forest Friday night at 7 p.m., when all the Clemson parents will be honored. Saturday night is Senior Night, as the Tigers take on Duke at 6 p.m.
