Volleyball Loses to Wake Forest in Four

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson Tigers dropped a 3-1 (9-15, 15-8, 15-9, 15-3) decision to the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on Saturday night at Jervey Gym. Clemson falls to 9-13 overall and 4-6 in the ACC while Wake Forest improves to 14-7 overall and 5-5 in league action.

Ashlee Phillips recorded a triple-double to lead Wake Forest with 10 kills, 53 assists, and 11 digs. Jessica tallied 16 kills while Margaret Davidson added 14 and Sara Beth DeLisle recorded 13 kills. Trina Maso de Moya also had a double-double with 11 kills and a match-high 17 digs. Wake Forest outhit the Tigers .238 to .185.

Kiki Dallao led the Tigers with 21 kills and 11 digs while Meredith Kirtland added 15 kills with 15 digs and two service aces. Jessi Betcher tallied 52 assists with 12 digs. Lindsey Fuller recorded a team-high six blocks (one solo).

Clemson travels to Furman University on Tuesday for a 7:00 p.m. match against the Paladins.
