CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson University volleyball team heads to Boone, North Carolina for the Appalachian Invitational, slated for Friday (Aug. 31) and Saturday (Sept. 1). There, the Tigers will face Mississippi State Friday at 4 p.m. On Saturday, Clemson is set to square off against the Mountaineers at 12:30 p.m., which will stream on ESPN+, followed by Davidson at 4 p.m.

Freshman middle blocker Adria Oliver was named to the Gamecock Invitational All-Tournament team after hitting .345 with 28 kills on 58 attempts last weekend … Oliver posted back-to-back five-block matches against Texas A&M Corpus Christi and South Carolina … Freshman setter Gabby Easton currently ranks third in the ACC in assists per set (10.40) … Her 48 assists against ETSU are a Clemson season best and tied for second in the ACC … Freshman outside hitter Ashtynne Alberts’ 15 kills against ETSU is the most by a Clemson hitter this season … Clemson is out-blocking its opponents 24-18 (+0.6/set) this season … Last season the Tigers out-blocked their opponents in just seven of 32 matches … Current Clemson Assistant Coach Efrain Negron previously served as the Mountaineers’ Volunteer Assistant Coach in 2015.
