Volleyball Defeats Florida A&M, 3-0

October 17, 1998

CLEMSON, SC-The Clemson volleyball team, ranked third in District III, defeated Florida A&M 3-0 Saturday afternoon at Jervey gym. The Tigers took a 15-3, 15-6, 15-10 victory over the Rattlers. Clemson outhit Georgia Tech in each game, taking a .346 to -.103 hitting advantage in game one.

Junior Alison Coday led the Tigers will 11 kills. She finished the match with a .240 attack percentage, tallying five errors and 25 attempts. Junior Cindy Stern had nine kills, three errors and 20 attempts for a.300 hitting percentage. Junior Skye Frost had 10 digs and two service aces to lead the Tigers. She hit .750, with three kills and four attempts.

Senior Stephanie Schulz hit .625, with six kills, one error and eight attempts. Schulz had two block assists, leaving her five block assists away from tying the Clemson career record of 367 block assists. Missy Kudelka recorded 27 assists in the victory.

Florida A&M (7-11, 5-1 MEAC) was led by Reneeka Gause, who finished the match with six kills. Deanna Kalani recorded 19 assists, and Petrina Johnson had 10 digs.

Clemson (13-6, 5-3 ACC) will travel to Duke Tuesday at 6 p.m.
