CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson volleyball head coach Michaela Franklin announced the Tigers’ upcoming spring schedule, which features two home matches in Jervey Gym. Additionally, Clemson travels to two tournaments at Georgia Tech and South Carolina.“We’re looking forward to compete this spring, especially to have the opportunity to play at home for two of our four scheduled competitions,” said Franklin. “It’s also a great opportunity for us to see what we need to continue to work on.”Clemson opens its spring season at Georgia Tech for a one-day tournament, which is slated for March 31 (Saturday). The Tigers host Georgia Tech in Jervey Gym at 6 p.m., on April 5 (Thursday). Eight days later, Clemson hosts the Sun Belt Conference’s Georgia State on April 13 (Friday) at 5 p.m., for the second and final home match of the spring. The Tigers close out the spring season in Columbia, South Carolina, April 21 (Saturday) for a tournament hosted by the Gamecocks. Opponents and match start times for both tournaments will be announced at a later date.“This spring has been amazing already with being able to get into the gym and really start training our team. I’m looking forward to the tournament at South Carolina because it’ll be good for us since we’ll play there in the fall, and get to see what their environment is like. And, of course, playing at Georgia Tech is going to be a good tournament for us. We have a lot of players stepping up into big roles, so these are good opportunities for them to gain experience in their roles on the court.”Clemson Volleyball 2018 Spring ScheduleDateOpponent/TournamentTimeLocationMarch 31at Georgia Tech (tournament)TBAAtlanta, Ga.April 5vs. Georgia Tech6 p.m.Jervey GymApril 13vs. Georgia State5 p.m.Jervey GymApril 21at South Carolina (tournament)TBAColumbia, S.C.For complete coverage of the Tiger volleyball team, follow @ClemsonVB on Twitter and Instagram, @ClemsonVolleyball on Facebook and ClemsonVBall on Snapchat.
