CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson Volleyball program will travel to Columbia, S.C. to take on UCF and South Carolina in the Palmetto Showdown. Thursday’s match-up against UCF is set for noon and the Tigers will finish the competition on Friday against South Carolina with a 1 p.m. scheduled start televised on SEC Network.

The Tigers and Knights haven’t played each other since 2013 when the Tigers secured a 3-2 victory. This will be the 65th meeting all-time between the Tigers and Gamecocks in volleyball. Both UCF and South Carolina are coming to Carolina Volleyball Center with a recent loss in their last matches against Pittsburgh and Penn State.

Clemson enters the showdown 2-0 after winning the Clemson Invitational last week. Graduate transfer Kaylee Martin has set the offensive tone for the Tigers by securing the Clemson Invitational MVP after tallying 28 kills on .368 hitting. Sophomore Camryn Hannah added 23 kills and 10 digs on the weekend.

The Palmetto Showdown is open to the public with tickets available for purchase.
