Two Tigers Compete At 2003 NCAA Men’s Swimming & Diving Championships On Friday

AUSTIN, TX – Two members of the Clemson men’s swimming and diving team competed on the second day of competition at the 2003 NCAA Men’s Swimming & Diving Championships on Friday. Rob Kummer placed 35th in the 100 fly, while Eric Shulick finished 32nd in the three-meter diving competition at the meet held at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swim Center in Austin, TX.

Kummer, a junior from Fort Wayne, IN, finished the 100 fly with a preliminary round time of 48.49 for a 35th-place overall finish in the event. This was the second-fastest time posted by Kummer this season. Kummer posted his career-best time of 47.84 in the 100 fly at the 2003 ACC Championships where he finished as the runner-up in the event.

Shulick, a sophomore from Naugatuck, CT, scored 255.45 points in the preliminary round of the three-meter diving competition for a 32nd-place finish in the event. Shulick competed in the one-meter diving event on the first day of competition at the NCAA Championships, finishing in 32nd place with 252.75 points.
