Clemson University is offering an opportunity for TWO (2) graduate students considering a career in athletic communications, with a focus on being a sport contact, to serve as graduate assistants within the Athletic Department.
The students will be mentored by the Assistant Athletic Director for Communications and Director of New and Creative Media. Additional consideration will be given to students with experience in desktop publishing/design skills (i.e. Photoshop, InDesign); working knowledge of StatCrew statistical software; working knowledge of web-based content management systems; social media management skills; basic HTML coding skills.
Throughout this experience, the student will be provided opportunities to apply concepts and theories from the classroom to an intercollegiate athletic environment. Opportunities include:
Interested students should have a bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, athletic administration, business administration, journalism or a related field; excellent communication (both verbal and written) and organizational skills; willingness to work evening, weekend and holiday hours; demonstrated experience in the field of communications; strong computer skills.
