Clemson Notes:

  • The Tigers will take to the outdoor track for the first time in 279 days when Clemson competed at the 2018 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
  • The Yellow Jacket Invitational is one of eight regular-season scheduled outdoor meets before ACC Championships, NCAA East Prelims and NCAA Championships.
  • Four Tigers in Olivia Cooney (400mH), Jessica Brewer (pole vault), Zico Campbell (shot put and discus) and Roje Stona (discus) are set to make their Clemson debut Saturday.
  • The Tigers will look to make strides in the discus with the additions of Campbell and Stona in addition to returners Joe Cline and Grant Voeks. On the women’s side, newcomers Veronica Fraley and Janell Fullerton will debut in the discus as well.
  • On the track, Clemson opens with the 4x100m relay, an event in which the Tiger women qualified for at the 2018 NCAA Outdoor Championships. Sarah Hill, Zeniyah Lawrence, Aliyah Mallard and Rebekah Smith are slated to compete in the event on the women’s side, while Fabian Hewitt, Marcus Parker, Alex Sands and Deonte Tolbert will give it a go for the men.
  • Additionally, senior Dylan Ahrens returns for the Tigers and is set to compete in the javelin.
