Track And Field To Host Clemson Classic This Friday And Saturday

The Clemson men’s track and field team will host the Clemson Classic this weekend at the Clemson Indoor Track and Field Facility. The meet is slated to begin at 5:30 PM on Friday and resume at 11:00 AM on Saturday. This year’s Clemson Classic field will include teams from Alabama-Huntsville, Anderson, Clayton State, Clemson, Coastal Carolina, Gardner-Webb, Georgia State, Georgia Tech, Hardin, Lees McRae, Lincoln (MO), Mars Hill, Morehouse, Savannah State, Troy State and Wake Forest.

The women’s field will include two Lady Tigers. Della Clark will represent Clemson in the weight throw. Both Lady Tigers will compete on Friday evening.

On the men’s side, Danny Alge will compete in the weight throw at 5:30 PM on Friday. At 7:00 PM on Friday, Mickey Sheats and Mickey Sheats will compete in the triple jump at 3:00 PM. Clemson’s 4x400m relay team of Roy Cheney will compete in that event at 3:25 PM.
