CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson Women’s basketball players, coaches and staff volunteered with the Anderson, S.C. Boys and Girls Club on Thursday, September 17 from 3:30-5 p.m. All 14 Tiger players helped the children with their homework for half an hour before heading out to the playground for an hour of fun and games. Some of the players taught the kids how to play basketball, while others threw the football and hula-hooped with the children. Finally, Tiger players, coaches and staff had a dance party with the children to end the fun-filled afternoon.
The event was the first major community service outing of the academic year for the Tigers. The Clemson Women’s basketball team is known for their community service efforts, as the team recorded 171 volunteer hours during the 2014-15 school year, the second most of any Clemson team.
