CLEMSON, S.C. – ACC Diver of the Week Freida Lim and the diving team will travel to Statesboro, Ga. on Saturday for a dual meet against Georgia Southern at 11:00 a.m. The meet will be the second of 2017 for the Tigers, while it will be the year’s opener for the Eagles.
Clemson began their 2017 campaign in early January at the Tennessee Diving Invitational, and Lim ended the competition on a high note with her second place finish on the platform. Sarah Blank was the first of four Tigers to finish in the top 25 on the three-meter preliminaries, and Jaya Brown was the first of three Clemson divers to end in the top 25 of the one-meter preliminaries in Knoxville, Tenn.
Georgia State last competed at Florida International on Dec. 15, and freshman Markiyah Davis led the Eagles by finishing fifth in the one-meter and seventh in the three-meter. Gretchen Mossburg was the other Georgia State diver to place, taking fifth in the three-meter.
