CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson track & field team is set to host the annual Tiger Paw Invite Friday and Saturday (Feb. 9-10) at the Clemson Indoor Track & Field Complex. The two-day meet features eight ACC teams (Duke, Georgia Tech, Miami, North Carolina, NC State, Virginia and Virginia Tech), nine SEC teams (Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Texas A&M and South Carolina), and Southern California of the Pac-12.
Five heats of the women’s 60m hurdles kick off the meet Friday at noon. The first field events in the men’s long jump, women’s shot put and women’s pole vault begin at 2:30 p.m. Live results for the Tiger Paw Invite can be accessed on ClemsonTigers.com.
Entering this weekend’s meet, Clemson owns a combined six best-marks in the ACC, and a combined four top-10 bests in the NCAA.
The Tigers return to the Clemson Indoor Track & Field Complex for the first time since the Bob Pollock Invitational on Jan. 26-27.
Last weekend, the Tigers won the men’s 4x400m relay at the University of Kentucky’s Rod McCravy Memorial. Cordell Lamb, Deonte Tolbert, John Lewis and Jeffrey Green posted a time of 3:08.80 in Saturday’s final event. Their time of 3:08.80 is the third-fastest time by a Tiger unit in 2018. The meet also marked the first time Clemson competed on a non-banked track this season.
