Tigers Tied for Eighth After Round Two at The Mason Rudolph Championship

FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Clemson women’s golf finished XX in the second round of the Mason Rudolph Championship. The Tigers shot a team total of 294 to put their team total at 580 on the weekend. The Tigers are at 4 over par after the conclusion of the second round.

Oregon is in the lead after shooting a team total of 283 which was good for 5 under par. The Ducks are at 17 under par on the weekend.

Savannah Grewal led the way for The Tigers, the sophomore shot an even-par 72. Grewal had two birdies on holes one and seven. Grewal also tallied an eagle on hole 14 en route to a two-under 34 on the back nine. Grewal enters the final round at 3 under.

Junior Ivy Shepherd shot a two-over 74 to put her at two over on the weekend. Shepherd tallied two birdies on holes three and 14 on Saturday.

“Super Senior” Callista Rice shot an eight-over 80 in the second round to put her at five over on the weekend. Rice tallied one birdie on hole four.

Freshman Katherine Schuster shot a two-over 74 to put her at six over on the weekend. Schuster had two birdies on holes nine and 18 on Saturday.

Junior Gracyn Burgess shot a two-over 74 to put her at nine over on the weekend. Burgess shot an one under 35 on the back nine which included two birdies on holes 14 and 18.

Sophomore Annabelle Pancake, who is playing as an individual shot a four-over 76 to put her at four over on the weekend. Pancake tallied three birdies on holes four, 14 and 17 on Saturday.

“We really seemed to struggle to make putts today. Overall we hung in there and picked up a few shots on the backside so I’m proud of how the girls really hung in there,” said Head Coach Kelley Hester. 

The Tigers are back in action tomorrow for round three of the Mason Rudolph Championship.
