Tigers Sign Pair of Divers

June 7, 2011

CLEMSON, SC – Clemson women’s diving program announced the addition of two signees to its 2011 recruiting class.

Jessica Doolittle and Emily Yoder inked with the Tigers during the spring signing period. They join Chelsea Uranaka of Windermere, FL, who signed a letter of intent during the fall.

“I am thrilled to add both Jessica and Emily to our Tiger diving program,” Diving Coach Leslie Hasselbach said. “They both will be excellent additions not only in the pool but also in the classroom. I am excited to start working with them shortly after they arrive in the fall.

“Our three new Tigers – Jessica, Emily and Chelsea Uranaka–all have sisters who currently attend Clemson. What a great testament to the Clemson family tradition! It’s an exciting time to be a Tiger and I am looking forward to a great year with our three new Tigers.”

Doolittle, a native of Mathews, NC, is relatively new to competitive diving, having only been involved in the sport year-round since September of 2009. Prior to that, she was a decorated gymnast for 12 years. She trained with Aaron Hintz at the Carolina Diving Academy in Huntersville, NC.

Yoder has lettered in diving for four years at Peachtree High School in Lawrenceville, GA. A two-time team captain for her high school, Yoder has been a top-15 finisher statewide in each of the past three seasons. She trains with the Georgia Diving Club and has extensive experience with United States Diving. In addition to her diving career, Yoder is also a competitive cheerleader and a lacrosse player.
