CLEMSON, S.C. – After nearly six weeks off from competition for winter break, the Clemson diving team returns to action this weekend at the Tennessee Diving Invitational in Knoxville on Jan. 3-5. The three-day meet is held at the Allan Jones Aquatic Center on the campus of the University of Tennessee, and features divers from 13 schools, including six teams from the Southeastern Conference, as well as ACC foe NC State.
Clemson posted a 3-0 record in dual meets during the fall season, with wins over NC State, Richmond and Georgia Southern. Several Tigers also had success individually at the Georgia Diving Invitational and the Pittsburgh Invitational in November.
Junior Megan Helwagen and freshman Hannah Donovan have already qualified for the 2015 NCAA Zone B Diving Championships in both the one-meter and three-meter events. Additionally, sophomores Sarah Braun and Danielle Reitsma have qualified in the one-meter, and senior Jessica Doolittle posted a zone qualifying score in the platform event.
During the recent break, the Tigers held their annual winter training camp in Coral Springs, Fla. Coverage of the week-long camp can be found here: http://bit.ly/1wMQovI.
