Tigers Remain Atop Baseball America Poll

Clemson will open its 2006 baseball schedule as the #1 team in the country according to Baseball America, who released its weekly poll on Monday. The Tigers, who moved to the top spot after Texas was swept two weekends ago, will play host to James Madison in a three-game series starting Friday at 4:00 PM at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. The Tigers also stayed at #5 in this week’s Collegiate Baseball poll. There will not be another Sports Weekly poll released until later this month, as Clemson was ranked #3 in its preseason poll.
