The Clemson men’s golf team was named as the 17th ranked team in the country according to the Bushnell Golfweek Preseason Poll.
Last season the Tigers finished with six, top-5 tournament finishes, a co-championship at the Jack Nicklaus Collegiate match-play, and tied for 8th at the NCAA National Championship. The Tigers look to add to their history in the upcoming season as they seek a key advantage in hosting the NCAA Regionals.
The Tigers will introduce two new faces to the roster in freshmen Drayton Stewart and Carter Pendley this season. However, returners Jacob Bridgeman and Kyle Cottam who ranked 2nd and 3rd on the team in stroke average last season will look to lead the team.
Clemson returns to action on September 6, 2019 as they head next door to Dalton, Ga. for the Carpet Capital Collegiate where the Tigers walked away last season T-4 out of 15 teams.
