Tigers Ranked 12th In Latest Campbell/ITA Women’s Tennis Poll

CLEMSON, SC – With a trio of wins last week, including two over conference opponents, the Clemson women’s tennis team moved up one spot to #12 in Tuesday’s Campbell/ITA Tennis poll. The Tigers own a 12-5 record for the 2009 season and a 4-1 record in ACC action.

Clemson is tied for second in the conference standings, through Mar. 22 matches, and will travel to NC State and Wake Forest this weekend. The Tigers have four wins over teams currently ranked in the top 25 and four of their five losses have come against current top-10 teams.

Junior Ani Mijacika leads the Clemson squad and is ranked #1 nationally in the latest individual polls. The native of Makarska, Croatia boasts a 12-2 record in dual matches with a 24-5 mark in the fall and spring seasons combined.
