CLEMSON, S.C. — The Tigers (10-13, 2-10 ACC) won a tightly contested 4-2 decision on Monday afternoon against UNC Wilmington (12-5, 1-0 CAA) to close out the regular season. After losing the doubles point against the Seahawks, Jorge Plans Gonzalez picked up some momentum for the Tigers, tying the match at one-all, with a 6-4, 6-1 win on Court 5. Spencer Whitaker went on to win his match on court six, 6-4, 6-3 to give the Tigers a lead. Shortly after, No. 118 Teodor Giusca won on Court 4, 6-4, 6-3. The Seahawks made it 3-2 before Ryuhei Azuma sealed the victory for the Tigers with a 2-6, 7-5, 6-1 at line three.
