CLEMSON, S.C. – Both Clemson (8-5, 0-0 ACC) and Virginia Tech (9-4, 0-0 ACC) each ride five-game winning streaks into the ACC opener when they clash on Friday in Littlejohn Coliseum at 7 p.m. The Tigers have opened the season 8-0 at home for the first time since 1997-98 and look to carry the momentum against the Hokies. Clemson will then take on Georgia Tech (10-4, 0-0 ACC) in Atlanta on Sunday at 2 p.m., ending a six-game homestand.
The Tigers defeated the Hokies, 69-56, in the ACC Tournament First Round in the teams’ most recent meeting. Clemson was also victorious, 80-79, in an overtime contest at Georgia Tech last season.
