Tigers in Fifth Through One Round

CLEMSON, S.C. – Ashlan Ramsey is tied for fourth individually and the Clemson women’s golf team is tied for fifth after one round of play at the Bryan National Collegiate in Greensboro, North Carolina.  The three day tournament runs through Sunday and includes 18 teams.

The opening round was changed to an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start Friday morning due to the chance of inclement weather. Ramsey shot an even par 72 to lead the Tigers. McKenzie Talbert shot a three over par 75, Sloan Shanahan shot a four over par 76, Lauren Salazar shot a five over par 77 and Jessica Hoang shot a seven over par 79. Only nine players shot par or under par on the day.

Duke leads the tournament with a team score of 292, four over par on the par-72 Champion’s Course at the Bryan Park Golf and Enrichment Center. Michigan State, Florida State, Louisville round out the top four while Clemson, Florida, and Penn State are tied for fifth.

Saturday’s second round and Sunday’s third round will also be shotgun starts beginning at 8:30 a.m. as there is a good chance of rain both days. Live scoring will be kept on GolfStat.com
