Clemson Notes:

• The Tigers enter Head Coach Audra Smith’s third season with eight returning letterwinners, including two starters, and six newcomers.
• Clemson’s roster is once again one of the youngest in the country, with one junior, seven sophomores and six freshmen.
• In 2014-15, the Tigers went 9-21 overall, including an 8-5 record in regular season nonconference games.
• Just 42% of the Tigers’ minutes, and 32% of the team’s scoring, return from 2014-15.
• Sophomore and returning starter Nelly Perry is the team’s returning leader in points (201), rebounds (111), assists (63), steals (22) and minutes played (734).
• Sophomore and returning starter MaKayla Johnson is the Tigers’ returning leader in blocks (28).
• Sophomore Francesca Tagliapietra averaged 5.4 points per game in 2014-15.

St. Thomas Notes:

• For the second-straight year, the Bobcats were picked to win the Sun Conference in a preseason vote by the league’s head coaches.
• St. Thomas won the Sun Conference regular season and tournament titles in 2014-15, finishing the season with a 27-5 overall record (17-1 in conference play).
• Desanta’ Franklin-Jordan is the Bobcats’ leading returner, after averaging 9.3 points per game and 3.7 rebounds per game a season ago.
