Clemson Notes:

  • Clemson (8-2) is coming off of an 83-61 loss to No. 6/6 South Carolina in Columbia on Thursday, Dec. 15. Four Tigers were in double figures in the game, led by junior Nelly Perry with 20.
  • Perry leads the Tigers in scoring (14.3 ppg), assists (3.6 apg) and minutes played (32.7 mpg).
  • Sophomore Danielle Edwards has started all 10 games for the Tigers at the point guard position, averaging 3.1 steals per game, good for third most in the ACC. She ranks second on the Clemson team in scoring (9.9 ppg) and minutes played (30.9 mpg).
  • Sophomore Aliyah Collier leads the team in rebounding (6.9 rpg) and is second in scoring (9.8 ppg).
  • Freshman Jaia Alexander played 30 minutes against the Gamecocks on Thursday and finished the game with 11 points and five rebounds, and was 7-for-8 from the free throw line.
  • Clemson won its first eight games of the season, the program’s best start since the 1998-99 season.
  • Clemson has won the turnover battle in every game (including South Carolina) this season except for one (Oregon) and is currently +5.1 in turnover margin.

  • Clemson has a 16-4 record all-time against the Bulldogs, and a 12-2 advantage in games played in Littlejohn Coliseum.
  • The last meeting between the two teams was a 63-54 Tiger victory on Dec. 2, 2015 in Jervey Gym on Clemson’s campus.
