Tigers Head into Final Day in 13th at NCAA’s

CLEMSON, S.C. – After shooting a 312 as a team on Friday, the Clemson women’s golf team will head into the final round of the NCAA west regional on Saturday in 13th place. The Tigers are nine shots behind the current eighth place team, Iowa State. The top eight teams from the west region in Cle Elum, Washington will advance to the NCAA National Championship in Tulsa, Oklahoma held May 20-23.

For the second day, Sloan Shanahan led the Tigers, posting a four-over par 76. Lauren Salazar and Ashlan Ramsey followed with rounds of 77. Jessica Hoang shot an 82 and McKenzie Talbert shot an 83.

Southern California and Arizona State lead the field with two day totals of 578. Host school Washington, Oklahoma and Northwestern round out the top five.

In Saturday’s final round J.T. Horton’s team will play with Denver and Tennessee. The Tigers will tee off of the first hole from 3:00- 3:44 PM eastern time.
