Tigers Giving Back Presented by ScanSource

Tigers Giving Back Presented by ScanSource

Clemson Athletics and Community Service Partner ScanSource would like to recognize Clemson student-athletes on their commitment to helping others and giving back.

Be A Tiger Field Day

Before the Orange & White Spring Football Game, over 100 Clemson Student-Athletes hosted the thirteenth annual “Be a Tiger Field Day” on Jervey Meadows. Over 1,600 children attended the free event and were able to interact with their favorite student-athletes while learning about the Be A TIGER traits through various character building activities. Current student-athletes planned and staffed the entire event, offering activities like tug-o-war, relay races, an obstacle course, trail mix station and inflatables. It was a fun day for not only the children but the athletes as well, who enjoyed giving back to the Clemson Family. This special event would not have been possible without the support and generosity of our Field Day sponsor ScanSource.

Tigers Giving Back

More than 100 players and coaches came together on the Melrose Place subdivision in Anderson to assist in the construction of two single-family homes. The Tiger team headed to Anderson, S.C., to help build houses for two families in need. The project was done through Habitat for Humanity, something Swinney’s team does each and every fall. Tiger Wonderland – Men’s and Women’s Basketball

Tiger Wonderland

Clemson’s basketball programs hosted Tiger Wonderland, an event designed to give underprivileged children from the community a proper Christmas experience.

For the event, Clemson brought in a group of children and paired each of them with a member of the men’s or women’s team. The children enjoyed crafts, gingerbread houses and hot chocolate.

They were then treated to a Holiday meal, and afterwards Santa Claus awaited the children, along with presents for each of them to open.
