CLEMSON, S.C. — The Clemson cross country teams are ready to toe the starting line as the 2020 season looms near. The Tigers are scheduled to contest three meets this season, with more to be added in the near future.
The season begins on Sept. 17 in Athens, Ga., at the 2020 Bulldog Invitational at the UGA Golf Course. Both men’s and women’s teams will race in Athens, with the men set to cover 6k while the women will contest 4.5k. At the meet, Clemson will toe the line with Georgia, South Carolina, Georgia Tech and UNC Charlotte.
On Oct. 2, Clemson will travel down to Tallahassee, Fla., for the team’s second meet of the season. More information regarding this meet will be available as details are finalized.
The ACC Conference Championships will be the final meet of the fall season and are set to take place on Friday, Oct. 30 at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C. At the meet, the men will contest 8k, while the women will race 6k.
Head Coach Vicky Pounds will lead the Tigers into the 2020 season after experiencing a wealth of success during her inaugural campaign. Both of Clemson’s squads are well-balanced this year, with an equal amount of experience and youth filling each roster.
