Tiger Women’s Swimmers Compete On First Day Of 2004 NCAA Championships

COLLEGE STATION, TX – Two members of the Clemson women’s swimming and diving team represented the Tigers on the first day of competition at the 2004 NCAA Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships on Thursday. Kim Cober and Kim Routh competed in the 400m free at the meet which is being held at the Student Rec Center Natatorium on the campus of Texas A&M.

Routh, a sophomore from Sandusky, Ohio, recorded a time of 4:11.32 in the preliminary round of the 400m free on Thursday. Cober, a senior from Greensboro, NC finished the event with a time of 4:22.12.

Routh will compete in the 200m free on Friday, while she and Cober will represent Clemson in the 1500m free on Saturday. The preliminary rounds begin at 12:00 p.m. each day with the finals commencing at 8:00 p.m.
