CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson track & field program will travel to Gainesville, FL to compete Friday and Saturday in the Pepsi Florida Relays. The two-day meet will be held at the University of Florida’s Percy Beard Track. The Tigers will take a full squad of men’s and women’s athletes this weekend for arguably the biggest outdoor meet prior to the ACC Championships in three weeks.

The action gets started Friday, April 1 with the women’s 100m hurdles at 12:05 PM. The men’s 110m hurdles will follow at 12:45 and will feature three athletes from Clemson: Spencer Adams, Marcus Maxey and Miller Moss.

Adams and fellow sophomore Jordan Rispress will enter the men’s 400m hurdles later in the afternoon. Rollins will join classmates Sonni Austin and Marlena Wesh in the women’s event, starting at 3:45 Friday. Other track action Friday afternoon will be the men’s 400m dash at 1:25 and women’s 100m dash at 2:25.

In the field Friday, Danielle Curry and Brittney Waller in the women’s hammer at the same time.

The evening session is focused on the distance events. Clemson will compete three athletes apiece in the men’s and women’s 1500m run. Included in the group are Alyssa Kulik and Kim Ruck from the women’s team. Both are coming off personal bests in various events last weekend at Stanford. The men’s and women’s steeplechase will both feature a pair of participants, including Clemson’s No. 2 all-time performer Stephanie Buffo. Elyse Borisko and Aaron Ramirez close out the night in the women’s and men’s 5K, respectively.

The first event on Saturday will be the women’s javelin at 11:30 AM, followed by the men’s discus at 12:30. Michael Kopanski leads the Tigers in the men’s pole vault at 1:00, followed by Josh Fowler in the triple jump at 1:30. Clemson will have a number of competitors in the men’s and women’s shot put as well. Highlighting Clemson’s field action Saturday will be the return of Patricia Mamona in the triple jump. Her last outdoor activity in the event was June of 2010, when she brought home a national championship.

Clemson will compete in a number of relays on Saturday, which begin with the sprint medleys at 12:00 PM. The 4x400m relays close out the meet, starting with the women at 6:40 followed by the men at 7:05.
