Tiger Track & Field Concludes Competition at Penn Relays

Philadelphia, PA – The Clemson men’s track & field team concluded competition at Franklin Field on Saturday at the prestigious, 112th annual Penn Relays. Freshman sprinter Travis Padgett ran a 10.42 in the finals of the 100m dash to win the collegiate competition in that event. It was the second consecutive win in that event for Padgett, who also claimed the ACC’s 100m crown.

Jason Bell was runner-up in the triple jump after posting a season-best effort of 51’5″. It was his third regional mark in as many tries this season. Danny Alge claimed a third-place finish in the men’s collegiate hammer throw after recording a toss of 196’3″, which was another regional-qualifying mark for the junior from Summerville, SC.

Clemson returns to action next Saturday, May 6 to host the Orange & Purple Classic at the Tigers’ Rock Norman Outdoor Track Complex.
