Tiger Men’s Tennis Team Defeats SMU 6-1

DALLAS, TX – The Clemson men’s tennis team remained undefeated as the 23rd ranked Tigers defeated SMU 6-1 at Dallas, TX Sunday.

The Mustangs are now 1-2 on the year.

Clemson won the doubles point to start the match as Clement Reix and Ryan Young defeated Alex Skrypko and Federico Murgier of SMU 8-5. Jarmaine Jenkins and Paul Konenke defeated David Kuczer and Chris Hooshyar of SMU at number two doubles 8-5.

In singles, Clemson won five of the six singles matches in straight sets. Jenkins won at number two singles with a win over Murgier 6-3, 6-3. Young, Konenke, Rok Vizjak and Carlos Alvarex also posted wins for the Tigers in singles play.
