Tiger Letterwinners Association Introduces New Leadership

Nov. 16, 2006

The Tiger Letterwinners Association has new leadership which will serve the Association until June 30, 2008, according to Charlie Bussey, Executive Director. “Annie Tribble, our President, and Randy Cheek, Vice-President, give us outstanding leadership”, said Bussey, “and quite frankly, they continue our tradition of always being blessed with great people in these two key positions”.

Annie Tribble

Tribble has served the past two years as Vice-President of the Association and was elected by the Board of Directors of the Association to move into the top spot. She is well known to Tiger fans, of course, having served for many years (1976-1987) as Head Coach of the Lady Tiger Basketball Team. She is now retired and resides in Pendleton with her husband, Glenn. They have two adult sons (both of whom are Clemson graduates), and Annie remains an avid golfer.

Randy Cheek

Randy Cheek was a member of Clemson’s football team from 1978-1981. After playing on the Tigers’ 1981 National Championship team, he remained on the football staff during the 1982 and 1983 seasons under Head Coach Danny Ford. A 1983 graduate of Clemson with a degree in Textile Technology, Cheek resides in Six Mile with his wife, Lisa. They have three children, Casey, Molly and Randall. Randy serves as Mayor of Six Mile and also operates his own business, Nationwide Insurance, of Clemson.
