Throwers Bring Their Best In Auburn Opener

AUBURN, Ala. – Clemson’s throwers kicked off the Tiger Track Classic with personal bests on Friday night in the women’s hammer throw and the men’s javelin. The rest of the team is set to compete tomorrow as 32 events are scheduled for the final day of the meet.

Danielle Borriello began the day throwing 168-2 in the women’s hammer throw and Dylan Ahrens placed fifth in a field of 24 student-athletes with his toss of 191-11 in the javelin.

The Tigers begin the final day of action at 10:30 a.m., with the women’s pole vault and events on the track begin at 11:30 a.m., with the women’s 4×100 meter relay. The competition will be an all-day affair as the final event is slated for 6:30 p.m.
