Clemson, S.C. – Ana Paula Valdes, Lindsay May, and Savannah Grewal picked up Scholar All-American honors from the Women’s Golf Coaches Association, announced by the office on Monday. The 2019-20 selections not only marks the most single-season honorees for the program with three, but also makes it the seventh consecutive year the Clemson squad has had a member represented.
With one of the most stringent criteria in college athletics, the All-American Scholar Team has a minimum requirement of a 3.50 cumulative GPA.
Sophomore Lindsay May and freshman Savannah Grewal picked up their first All-American Scholar honor from the WGCA while Valdes became just the second player in program history to earn the award four times.
The WGCA selection is coming off the entire women’s golf team at Clemson earning ACC Academic Honor Roll in June and the APR Public Recognition Award in May.
