CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson women’s basketball team held its annual Orange & White scrimmage on Wednesday night at Littlejohn Coliseum. The Orange team came out on top, 85-70, in the full 40-minute game and was led by sophomore Sthefany Thomas’ 40-point performance.
The guard from Wesley Chapel, FL helped her squad erase a 52-27 halftime deficit, going 16-for-25 from the field with a trio of three-pointers. The Orange team, coached by Assistant Saudia Roundtree, began the night comprised of Thomas, Chelsey Pinkstaff, Christy Brown, Jasmine Tate, Morgan McMinn. With four players unavailable due to minor injuries, Assistant Coach A.G. Hall’s purple squad was limited to Bryelle Smith, Kirstyn Wright, Lele Hardy, April Parker and Shaniqua Pauldo.
At halftime, Head Coach Cristy McKinney switched the line-ups and Hardy, Parker, McMinn, Tate and Pinkstaff traded teams.

Freshman post player Shaniqua Pauldo had 11 points in the first half, including a three-pointer from the top of the key, to total 14 points with eight rebounds.
The lack of depth became apparent in the second half as Assistant Coach Todd Steelman was forced into action. Steelman recorded an assist and scored two points in the game.
Kirstyn Wright scored 29 points for the purple squad. The Stone Mountain, GA native hit 4-of-8 from long range and grabbed seven rebounds as well.
Rookie center Christy Brown, who scored six points with four rebounds. Sophomore forward Jasmine Tate had five points and five rebounds, while Pinkstaff scored the first basket of the game for the orange team for her two points. McMinn was the only player held scoreless in the game.
