Thirteen Top-10 Finishes for Lady Tigers on Day Two of Tiger Invitational

Clemson, SC – Freshman April Sinkler posted her first NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 42’2″ in the triple jump to highlight the Tiger Invitational for the Clemson women’s track & field team Saturday. The Lady Tigers finished the home meet with 13 finishes inside the top 10 of various events.

Sinkler, a native of Stafford, Va., finished fourth in the triple jump, posting her first NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 42’2″. Sinkler also finished runner-up with a mark of 5’8″ in the high jump. Sophomore Anastasia Wilson and junior Linda Buchholz tied for fourth in the high jump, each clearing the bar at 5’6″.

Senior Polly Hardy tallied a third-place finish in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.50 seconds. Krystal Barringer finished fourth with a time of 8.61, while sophomore Michaylin Golladay was seventh with a season-best time of 8.84.

In the 60m dash, junior Ra’Sheena Parker tied for seventh place with a time of 7.72. Kristine Scott finished 13th with a time of 7.80. In the 200m dash, Kristine Scott finished ninth with a time of 25.29.

Jenna Baker, a freshman from Bellevue, OH, finished the mile run in third place with a time of 5:06.61. Jill Yandle, also a freshman, crossed the line in thirteenth place with a time of 5:17.63.

The 4×400-meter relay team of Christina Mason, Golladay, Sierra Hill and Hardy crossed the line in sixth place with a time of 3:53.62.

Abby Iselborn crossed the line 11th in the 3000 meter run with a time of 10:17.94, while Sunday Ford placed 12th with a time of 10:38.83.

Senior Catheryne Porter set a season-best mark in the weight throw with a toss of 53’7.5″, to place fourth.

The women’s track & field team will return to action in two weeks at the ACC Championships, hosted by the University of North Carolina, Feb. 28- Mar. 1.
