Swimming & Diving Teams Sweep Miami

MIAMI – The 20th-ranked Clemson women defeated Miami 115-90, while the Clemson men posted a 140-59 victory over the Hurricanes in collegiate swimming and diving action on Friday afternoon in Miami, FL.

Senior Wendy Henson led the Tiger women with a first place finish in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:53.2. Senior Jennifer Mooney won the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:07.46 to contribute to the Tiger win.

Freshmen performers came up big for the Tiger men winning six of the eight races that Clemson claimed. Freshman Andy Meek won two events, the 1000 freestyle (9:37.77) and 500 freestyle (4:39.03). Fellow freshman Kenny Roberts also won two events. Roberts won the 100 freestyle (47.26) and 200 freestyle (1:44.11).

Clemson will travel to face Florida Atlantic on Dec. 22 at noon.
