ATLANTA, Ga.–The Clemson men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams completed a successful three-day stint in Atlanta at the Georgia Tech Invitational. The men’s team finished in third place with 570 points, holding off a competitive field to claim that spot. The women’s team ended up in seventh place with 265 points.
For the men’s squad, Chris Dart continued his strong showing in Atlanta with a sixth-place finish in the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:50.00. Dart and Harry Foster finished ninth and tenth in the 100 freestyle with times of 46.16 and 46.34 seconds, respectively.
Lucas Gerotto turned in a sixth-place performance in the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:49.67. The men continued their strong performance in the relays, as the team of Seth Broster, Foster, Chris Reinke, and Dart finished the 400 freestyle relay in an NCAA-B time of 3:00.57.
The women’s squad was paced by Meg Anderson’s seventh-place finish in the 100 freestyle, which she completed in 50.42 seconds. The 400 freestyle relay team of Anderson, Kristen Redmond, Kelsey Krauss, and Tori Cervone turned in a time of 3:27.65 and finished in seventh place.
The Tigers will take a few weeks off before getting back into the pool on Saturday, December 18 in Boca Raton, FL in a dual meet against Florida Atlantic.
