Swimmers Compete in Second Day of NCAA Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Clemson swimmer Ginny Kirouac placed 16th in the trials of the 400 IM at the 2000 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships in Indianapolis, IN, on Friday, and Tiger Mandy Commons finished 22nd in the 100 breaststroke.

Kirouac, a sophomore from Norcross, GA, recorded a meters time of 4:46.66 in the trials of the 400 IM. She will compete in the finals of the event on Friday night. Kirouac qualified for the meet with a yards time of 4:27.93 in the 400 IM.

Commons, a freshman from Cincinnati, OH, finished 22nd in the 100 breaststroke with a meters time of 1:10.79. Earlier this season, she set the Clemson record this season with a yards time of 1:03.09.
