Brad Brown

Position: Chief Operations Officer

On Thursday, July 28, IPTAY CEO Davis Babb and the IPTAY Board of Directors named Brad Brown Chief Operations Officer of IPTAY. Brown comes to IPTAY after serving as the Deputy Director of Athletics at the University of New Hampshire. Brown will serve as IPTAY’s first-ever Chief Operations Officer (COO).

As COO of IPTAY, Brown will be a key member of the IPTAY executive team, focused on developing and maintaining positive and productive relationships with key internal and external constituents, assisting the CEO in strategic planning and goal setting, and advising the CEO on all operational‐related issues. Brown will work closely with the Board of Directors and represent IPTAY on various department, University, and affiliate organization committees. As IPTAY’s team and reach continue to grow, Brown will play an integral role in the special initiatives contributing to that growth.

As Deputy Director of Athletics at the University of New Hampshire (UNH), Brown was responsible for department-wide administration, specifically the direct oversight of both internal and external operations. He was responsible for all revenue-generating entities, including ticket sales and service, which finished the 2021-2022 season 120% to goal. Brown played an integral role in managing capital projects for the Wildcats, including a Whittemore Center Arena renovation project valued at $6M. He also negotiated a new apparel deal and established a strategic partnership that provided the department with an outbound ticket sales and service model. In addition to these responsibilities, Brown was the sport administrator for twelve athletics programs.

Prior to UNH, Brown spent 11 years at Army West Point, most recently as the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Internal Operations from 2019-21. In that role, he was a member of the athletic department’s senior leadership team and was responsible for event and facility management, capital project initiatives, NCAA and conference championships, team support, strategic planning, summer sports camps, and served as the sport administrator for five athletics programs. Brown held oversight of the department’s procurement operation and executed agreements worth more than $3.7 million annually. Brown was a member of the Army-Navy Steering Committee and spearheaded the operations efforts for “America’s Game” during his tenure at West Point. He was a key member of the project management team for the Michie Stadium Preservation Project, which is currently valued at $95 million.

Prior to West Point, Brown worked for BookHill Partners, LLC, where he served as the primary media contact for the Taylor Hooton Foundation’s “PLAY Campaign,” which took place in all major league baseball stadiums during the summer of 2008.

Brown worked for the Manchester Wolves of the Arena Football League II from 2007-2008. His responsibilities included, but were not limited to, conducting ticket and merchandise sales, scheduling promotional events in the community, meeting with team sponsors, and planning for and executing game day operations.

Brown currently serves on the CEFMA (Collegiate Event and Facility Management Association) Board of Directors which he was appointed to in the spring of 2018. He was appointed to the NCAA Men’s Gymnastics Committee in 2019 to further enhance the student-athlete experience in the sport and served as the Committee Chair during the 2020-2021 season.

Brown grew up in an Army family and, upon completion of high school, attended the University of New Hampshire, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He earned a master’s degree in Sport Leadership from Northeastern University in 2018.

In addition to his civilian career, Brown enlisted in the US Army Reserve in 2017 as a Combat Engineer and is currently assigned to an engineer company in New York.

Brown and his wife Stephanie are proud parents of daughter, Kieran (4) and son, Landon (1).
